David Phelps was drafted by the team that wears the pinstripes in the 2008 MLB Draft as pick 440 in the 14th round of MLB Draft out of Notre Dame.
In New York David Phelps pitched three seasons.
In 2012 David Phelps finished with a record of 4-4 with an earn run average of 3.34.
In 2013 David Phelps finished with a record of 6-5 with an earn run average of 4.98.
In 2014 David Phelps finished with a record of 5-5 with an earn run average of 4.38 before New York the team that wears the pinstripes traded Martin Prado, David Phelps , cash considerations in exchange of Garrett Jones, Nathan Eovaldi, Domingo German. In Miami David Phelps pitched two full seasons in 2015-2016. In 2015 David Phelps finished with record of 4-8 with an earn run average of 4.50. In 2016 David Phelps finished with a record of 7-6 with an earn run average of 2.28. Unfortunately though, 2022 season with Toronto would be his last coming out of bullpen as a reliever for MLB team as David Phelps came to the decision to retire from MLB following a procedure that he had that included reattaching lat muscle to his right shoulder.

What were they?
On 5/5/ 21 I walked off the mound in Oakland frustrated and injured, unsure if I would be on Major League mound again. Over a year later on 10/5 / 2022 I walked off the mound in Baltimore knowing it was the last time I would in my career , Still unsure about what the future held but at peace with this new journey . God has blessed me with the ability to play this game for at the professional level for the past 15 years and it has taken me a couple months to put into words the thanks that are deserving but here goes …
To the Yankees , Marlines, Mariners, Bluejays, Cubs , Brewers and Phillies organizations Thank you for giving me the opportunity to compete for you over these past years .
