New York Visits Toronto For Their Season Opener

The  off-season has come and gone  as another exciting season of home runs, doubles,  triples and pitchers pitching 80-90-100 miles an hour is getting underway  for the team in the Bronx who fell one game short of going to the world series a year ago.

But enough about last year lets talk about this season as  New York will visit  Toronto to open the season on Thursday afternoon. 

New York comes into the  2018 season haven made a couple changes during the off-season while also adding another piece to the starting lineup. 

Joe Girardi was relieved of his duties as manager  and Aaron Boone who played twelve seasons in the majors with one of those seasons being with the  New York Yankees back in 2003. New York acquired   right -fielder Giancarlo Stanton who previously was in the National League with  Miami as he waived his no trade clause to come to New York..

Right -hander Luis Severino who finished the  2017 season  with a record of 14-6 with a 2.98 earn run average.
