The Offense Jumps On Tanner Roark Early As New York Tops Toronto In Spring Training Game
The New York offense jumped on Toronto starter Tanner Roark early!
When?
Yesterday in their spring training game!
Where?
Dunedin Florida!
Why?
Tanner Roark recorded just one out in the first inning of the 8-3 loss to the Yankees on Sunday at TD Ballpark, but he re-entered the game in the second and went a total of 2 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits. Many of those misses were sailing high or catching too much of the plate, resulting in four exit velocities north of 100 mph by Yankees hitters. “according to an article by Keegan Matheson on mlb.com”
Those hitters included Clint Frazier who went 2-4 knocking a two-run double and scoring on Derek Dietrich's single in the first inning. “according to an article on yankees.com by Bryan Hoch”
New York is going to return to the diamond!
When?
Tonight!
Where?
Tampa Florida where Jameson Taillon is going to be looking to bounce back from his previous outing verses Detriot when he starts for New York when they host Philadelphia tonight!
Why?
The right handed pitcher tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in the Yanks’ 4-2 Grapefruit League victory.
However, Jameson Taillon didn’t exhibit sharp command, tossing 28 of 51 pitches for strikes while issuing three walks. But his stuff was good, as he permitted a pair of hits, struck out four and was clocked as high as 95.1 mph with his fastball. Taillon averaged 93.9 mph with his 28 heaters, also tossing 12 curveballs, nine sliders and two changeups.”according to an article by Bryan Hoch on mlb.com” He is going to be opposing Aaron Nola who like him is a right handed pitcher.
First pitch is set for 6:35pm from George M. Steinbrenner Field!
The game is going to be televised on Yes!
