Where?

Bronx New York!

New York who is a member of the American League East comes into the game with a record of 50-44!

Why?

Because they swept Philadelphia who unlike them is a member of the National League East!

When?

Tuesday,

Wednesday!

Where?

When?

Tuesday night, Wednesday night!

Why?

Greg Allen , Estevan Florial , Brett Gardner, Gary Sanchez Giancarlo Stanton provided the offense for New York as they topped Philadelphia by a score of 6-4 in the opening game of their two game series.

How?

In the fifth inning Greg Allen drew a leadoff walk off Phillies starter Aaron Nola, stole second base, advanced to third on a fly ball to center field and scored the game-tying run on a line drive that Philadelphia shortstop Didi Gregorius threw past third base attempting to turn a double play.

Brett Gardner hit the go ahead home run just above Philadelphia right fielder Bryce Harper’s head.

Estevan Florial, who was recalled before Tuesday’s game to replace the injured Trey Amburgey -- himself a Triple-A replacement on the Yankees’ roster -- drove in Allen in the third with a grounder to first base for his first career RBI but Estevan Florial wasn’t done after his run batted in!

Why?

Because Estevan Florial homered for the first time at the Major League Level.

When?

In the eighth inning!

But after Estevan Florial’s home run the New York offense still wasn’t done!

Why?

Because Gary Sanchez, Giancarlo Stanton also homered!

Those home runs provided some breathing room for the relievers that included Zack Britton, Chad Green, Aroldis Chapman who combined for for six strikeouts and an inning-ending double play to escape jams and shut down Philadelphia in the seventh, eighth, ninth.

In the finale verses Philadelphia New York had to rally!

Why?

Zack Britton and Nick Nelson couldn't preserve a three-run lead in the eighth. Torres booted a Rhys Hoskins grounder to open the inning, and Zack Britton walked two hitters before Luke Williams greeted Nelson with a two-run single. Nelson later bounced a changeup for a wild pitch that tied the game at 5.

And rally they did!

When?

In the tenth inning!

When Ryan LaMarre belted a pinch-hit RBI single in the 10th inning.

Boston comes into the game with a record of 58-38!

Why?

Because like New York, Boston swept their opponent in a two game series but unlike New York Boston swept Toronto!

Where?

Buffalo New York!

When?

Monday and Wednesday!

How?

On Monday Boston scored 11 early runs that included a grand slam by Hunter Renfroe  and Kiké Hernández added a two-run homer, giving the Red Sox a three-homer first inning -- their first as a road team in franchise history. Hernández would add a solo dinger in the sixth.

Then,

Boston tacked on three more in Monday's second inning with a Rafael Devers solo homer and a two-run double by Danny Santana, who's fresh off the injured list (left quad strain). By game's end, six starters had reached base at least twice, and the team worked nearly as many walks (seven) as strikeouts (eight).

And Tuesday’s game was rained out and will be made up on August 7, 2021

And last night Boston won by score of 7-4 in a series that ended up being a two game series because of the rainout.

In the finale of the two game series Boston hit five home runs!

How?

Kike Hernandez put Boston on the board in the third inning, hitting a screaming line drive for a 355-foot two-run homer that barely cleared the low left-field wall.

Rafael Devers and Hunter Renfroe homered twice while Jarren Duran, Danny Santana, Michael Chavis and J.D. Martinez homered once.
