Duke comes into the game with a record of 3-3 0-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and is last in the Coastal Division.

Why?

Because they’ve lost two straight games to Coastal Division opponents including last Saturday’s 31-27 loss to Georgia Tech in Durham.

In the Duke, Georgia Tech game Duke was stung by Georgia Tech last Saturday on the gridiron in Durham

How?

Duke held a 27-24 lead late in the fourth quarter, but a six-play, 88-yard drive by Georgia Tech found the end zone with under one minute to play Duke’s final drive was thwarted by an interception at the Yellow Jacket 20-yard line which sealed the win for Georgia Tech.

A late score by Georgia Tech separated the Yellow Jackets from Duke 31-27!

Virginia comes into the game with a record of 4-2 2-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and is third in the Coastal Division!

Why?

Because Virginia topped Louisville 34-33 in Louisville Kentucky last Saturday!

For the second game in a row it came down to the final play and it worked out in Virginia’s favor in a dramatic 34-33 victory at Louisville. After Virginia scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to take a 34-33 with 22 seconds left in the game, the Cardinal marched down to their own 31-yard line to set up a potential game winning field goal. But James Turner’s 49-yard attempt sailed left of the uprights and the Hoos improved to 4-2. It was Virginia’s first win at Louisville in five trips.

Thanks to 20 unanswered points in the third quarter, Louisville entered the final 15 minutes leading 30-13. UVA quarterback Brennan Armstrong was masterful in three fourth-quarter scoring drives. He finished with 487 yards and three touchdown passes. Armstrong’s final throw found a wide open Grant Misch in the end zone to cap UVA’s final scoring drive. Virginia went 75 yards on 12 plays in two minutes to post the go-ahead lead.
