Duke Lost Their Starting Quarterback Gunnar Holmberg To An Upperbody Injury , He Was Replaced By Riley Leonard, Duke Lost To Pittsburgh Saturday By A Score Of 54-29

Duke lost Their starting quarterback Gunnar Holmberg to upper body injury in the first half of the Duke, Pittsburgh game on Saturday.

Why?

Gunnar Holmberg was injured while being sacked. His left shoulder, his non throwing side hit the turf under the weight of two Pittsburgh defenders then he was taken for X-rays to his clavicle, ribs.

Before being injured Gunnar Holmberg completed 16-23 passes for 174 yards.

He was replaced by freshman quarterback Riley Leonard who was 6 of 13 passes for 63 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Though, Gunnar Holmlberg wasn’t the only thing Duke lost as they also lost the game to Pittsburgh as well by a score of 54-29.

Duke is now going to prepare to go on the road to Blacksburg on Saturday to oppose Virginia Tech on the gridiron.

Though, this question remains when comes to Duke’s game with Virginia Tech! in Blacksburg Will Duke be without the services of starting quarterback Gunnar Holmberg, with the services of backup quarterback Riley Leonard?

Right now I don’t know the answer to that question though hopefully I’ll find out the answer before Duke’s game with Virginia Tech on Saturday in Blacksburg.
