A-Rod's Last Play
I am not going to start today's blog off by criticizing A-Rod instead I am going to talk about what a great last game and career he had in pinstripes!
Friday was an emotional night for players , coaches, manager Joe Girardi and Yankees fans as Alex Rodriguez played his final game in pinstripes . In his first at bat he collected an RBI double. according to http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2016/08/13/alex-rodriguez-yankees-final-game/88656372/ by Chad Jennings"
In the top of the ninth inning Alex Rodriguez got to go out the way he wanted and it was only fitting he go play third base one final time as that is where he spent most of his career with the Yankees before he became their designated hitter. While he also collected a little bit of dirt from third base on the day he said farewell to wearing the uniform .
As a major league player according to http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2016/08/13/alex-rodriguez-yankees-final-game/88656372/ by Chad Jennings" hit 696 home runs which is quite an accomplishment.
Thank You A-Rod for twelve great years in pinstripes! Best of luck in your new role with the Yankees and in your future!
