New York Looking To Extend Their Winning Streak To Nine As They Take On Chicago

New York is pretty hot right now as they have reeled off eight straight wins including Monday night's series opener against the Chicago White Sox. 

When New York opened up their series with the White Sox not only did New York extend their winning streak to eight but left -hander Jordan Montgomery got his first major league win as New York defeated Chicago 7-4 while improving to 9-4 on the season.

How does it feel to get your first win in the majors  Jordan Montgomery? Shouldn't you feel pretty good right now? 

Right fielder Aaron Judge and designated hitter Matt Holiday did the damage for New York to back up Jordan Montgomery's second major league start when they each honored. 

Matt Holliday hit a three-run shot as part of a five-run third inning while Aaron  Judge added a two-run drive in the fifth to support the rookie left-hander, who carried a shutout into the seventh inning. Meanwhile, Chicago falls to 6-6 on the season as starting pitcher Derek Holland was  crushed as he gave up seven  runs while six of them were earned as well as giving up ten hits over 4/2/3 innings. Chicago and New York continue their three -game set tonight at Yankee Stadium.  

 Miguel Gonzalez makes his third start of the season after receiving a no-decision on Thursday against the Indians when he was unable to complete five innings. The right-hander allowed three runs on eight hits over 4 2/3 innings. He is 4-4 with a 3.80 ERA lifetime against the Yankees. First pitch is at 6:05 p.m. CT.

 Luis Severino who has a record of 1-0 to go along with a 4.50 ERA will look to get his second win of the season as he will take on Miguel Gonzalez who will make his third start of the season after receiving a no-decision on Thursday against the Indians when he was unable to complete five innings.
