After Acquiring Sonny Gray From Oakland New York Wins Opener Over Detroit

It was an exciting day in the Bronx Monday as first New York acquired right -hander Sonny Gray from Oakland for prospects and then won the opener against Detroit.

He will take on Detroit right -hander Anibal Sanchez who has a record of 2-1 with a 6.18 earn run average. The feel-good story for Sanchez's revival in the Tigers rotation is fading a bit with 12 runs on 24 hits over 15 1/3 innings his last three starts.
