New York left -hander Jordan Montgomery who made the start Saturday for New York in game three of their four game series against Cleveland where New York won 2-1 has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes -Barre.
Montgomery will be dropped out of the Yankees' starting rotation as the team will move to a standard five-man staff following the acquisitions of Sonny Gray and Jaime Garcia.
