New York Sends Jordan Montgomery To Triple -A Scranton Wilkies/ Barre

When teams in the major leagues acquire new players in this case via trade some players have to go back to the minors where there journey begins before making it to the majors.

New York left -hander  Jordan Montgomery who made the start Saturday for New York in game three of their four game series against Cleveland where New York won 2-1 has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes -Barre. 

Montgomery will be dropped out of the Yankees' starting rotation as the team will move to a standard five-man staff following the acquisitions of Sonny Gray and Jaime Garcia.
