Now the third baseman has to continue to wait to get back on the diamond. Why? Because of the Corona Virus that is effecting us in the United States and around the world.
So how does that make Miguel Andujar feel ? Like the the fans of the game on the diamond. He misses it. You put together the fact that I missed so much time last year and then working myself back over many months and now we have to wait,’’ Andujar wrote to The Post on Thursday in an e-mail exchange.”according to an article by George A. So what has Miguel Andujar been doing to keep himself in shape if and when the 2020 season begins? The third baseman has been working out five days a week building strength, working with the trainers, exercising and doing my best to stay sharp,’’ Andujar wrote. ‘It’s been almost a year since my injury and I feel 100 percent. I am very happy where I am at physically. For a while I was working out away from (Steinbrenner Field) with a trainer, hitting and staying sharp. I am back at the complex doing everything I can to prepare myself.’’ according to an article by George A. King II on nypost.com
If and when the 2020 season gets underway Miguel Andujar will be ready and could be looking at receiving playing time at several positions, two of which he has almost no experience. according to an article by George A. King II on nypost.com
Why?
Because Gio Urshela who played third base last season is coming off a season in 2019 where he had a batting average of 314, 21, home runs and 74 runs batted in. “according to https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/_/id/32721/gio-urshela
