MLB Is Proposing A 76 Game Season
The 2020 Major League Baseball season was supposed to begin three months ago.
However, the Corona Virus got in the way and spring training was halted and since then the two sides haven’t been able to come to an agreement to start the season.
Why? Because of money!
The original proposal was for 82 regular season games then it went up to 114 and now the new proposal is for 76 games.
What does the new proposal include?
It includes eliminating draft pick compensation for free agents for a year. Teams would not lose a pick for signing a free agent; the team losing the player would get a compensatory pick during the draft.”according to an article via espn on espn.com
