Zack Britton Struggles As New York Suffers Another Loss To Tampa Bay

New York lost their second game to Tampa Bay as well as the series in the Bronx.

Tyler Glasnow who started for Tampa Bay limited New York to two runs over 5 2/3 innings.

James Paxton who is a left handed pitcher will start the finale for New York. The left handed comes into the finale with a record of 1-1 with an earn run average of 7.04. James Paxton reached a new season high with a 94.8 mph fastball in his most recent start, a good sign as he returns from back surgery performed in February. Paxton didn't have his sharpest stuff, but he held the Red Sox to three runs over five innings in an 11-5 win. He will oppose Tampa Bay right hander John Curtiss who comes into the finale with a record of 1-0 with an earn run average of 2.84. Curtiss, who's pitched more than one inning in all three of his appearances this year, will serve as the opener for the first time in his career. Trevor Richards is expected to provide the bulk innings for Tampa Bay.
