Brett Gardner Is Returning To New York

Pinstripes is the only uniform Brett Gardner has known since being drafted out of the College Of Charleston in the third round as the 109 overall pick in the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees!

This offseason he became a free agent for the first time in his Major League Baseball career!

However,

Brett Gardner is going to continue his career with the team that wears the pinstripes!

Why?

The team that wears the pinstripes and the left fielder  have reached agreement on a one-year deal worth $4 million, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan, confirming multiple reports. “according to an article by ESPN News Services on espn.com”

The deal is pending a physical. It includes a second-year player option that if rejected turns into a team option, sources said.“according to an article by ESPN News Services on espn.com”

Gardner, 37, became a free agent in November when New York declined a $10 million option, triggering a $2.5 million buyout. He has been with the Yankees since 2008 and is their last player from the 2009 World Series-winning team. His 14-year tenure with one team during his career is tied for fifth among active players.“according to an article by ESPN News Services on espn.com”

Last season Brett Gardner had 130 at bats , 20 runs , 29 hits , 5 home runs , 15 runs batted in , 3 Stolen Bases and a batting average of 223. “according to www.mlb.com/player/brett-gardner-458731

How many at bats, runs hits , home runs and runs batted in will the thirty seven year old hit this season for the team that the wears the pinstripes?

Right now I don’t know the answer to that but will figure it out once the season begins.
