Michael King Replacing Domingo German In New York's Starting Rotation?

After Domingo German’s start verses Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg Florida the right handed pitcher was sent to the Alternate Site.

When?

Yesterday!

Why?

Tampa Bay collected four runs and eight hits off Germán, who tossed 79 pitches after throwing 68 in three innings against the Blue Jays last time out. Austin Meadows clanged a first-inning drive off the right-field foul pole and Francisco Mejía knocked in a couple of runs with a second-inning grounder that struck Germán’s glove and deflected toward the outfield.

Randy Arozarena ambushed Germán’s first pitch of the third inning for a 420-foot homer to straightaway center field. Since the beginning of 2019, Germán has allowed 34 homers in 150 innings, the Majors’ fourth-highest HR/9 rate (min. 140 IP) over that span.

With Domingo German getting sent to the Alternate Site who is going replace him in New York’s starting rotation?

Right now I don’t know the answer to that question!

However,

I do know I have an opinion on who I think Aaron Boone should put in starting rotation in place of Domingo German.

I think it should be Michael King who like Domingo German is a right handed pitcher!

Why?

Michael King came out of the bullpen, relieved Domingo German and dominated Toronto.

When?

April 4, 2021!

How?

The right reliever retired sixteen Toronto batters in a row. as part of six scoreless innings in the Yankees’ 3-1 loss. The 25-year-old right-hander became the first Yankee reliever to throw six innings and allow one hit or fewer since Bob Shirley in 1986.

Though,

Michael King’s relief appearance didn’t start out that way.

Why?

Michael King issued a four-pitch walk to Randal Grichuk to start the fourth inning, then allowed a single to Joe Panik. After that, King locked in.
