When You Think Of New York, Tampa Bay Do You Think About Emotions Running High Among Fans In The Stands?

When you think of New York , Tampa Bay do you think of emotions running high among fans in the stands?

I normally don’t because when I think of New York and Tampa Bay I think about players emotions running high!

Why?

Because the New York players don’t particularly like the Tampa Bay players and the Tampa Bay players don’t particularly like the New York players.

Why?

Because there have some heated moments between the two Major League Baseball teams and this one particular moment comes to mind when Aroldis Chapman first pitch to Mike Brosseau with two outs in the ninth inning buzzed right over Brosseau’s head at 100.5 mph. Chapman later whiffed Brosseau again on another high fastball -- this time toward the outer part of the plate -- before things between the two teams got tense and the benches emptied. Chapman, who said there was “no intention” behind the near-beaning, was later suspended for three games by Major League Baseball for the incident, although he appealed.

Aroldis Chapman was suspended for first couple games of this season!

But last night in the opening of the three series between New York and Tampa Bay it wasn’t particularly the players emotions running high from both teams instead, it was the fans who were in attendance in the stands at Yankee Stadium who’s emotions were running high!

Where?

Bronx New York!

Why?

Because about a half - dozon  half-dozen baseballs and other objects were thrown onto the playing field, prompting Rays players to scamper to safety.

When?

Clint Frazier who was playing left field last night for New York was batting in the eighth inning

The umpires huddled as public address announcer Paul Olden reminded fans that anyone throwing objects onto the field would be subject to ejection and/or arrest.
