Aroldis Chapman Who Is New York's Closer Hasn't Been Himself Lately Because He Has Been Struggling To Closeout Games
Aroldis Chapman who is New York’s closer hasn’t been himself lately because he has been struggling!
Why?
On Sunday in the finale verses Oakland in Bronx New York Aroldis Chapman escaped a bases loaded jam!
How?
New York turned triple play.
How?
The triple play started with Gio Urshela who fielded a hot shot off the bat of Sean Murphy, stepped on third and then fired to second, where DJ LeMahieu completed the turn to first baseman Chris Gittens.
Then last night in their game verses Kansas City also in Bronx New York Aroldis Chapman struggled yet again to save the ball game!
Why?
Why?
Aroldis Chapman was charged with his third blown save in eight opportunities.
Why?
Michael A. Taylor reached on a one-out single and Whit Merrifield punched a hit into the right-field corner, placing runners at first and third with two outs.
Sebastian Rivero exhibited great patience, looking at four pitches out of the strike zone -- Chapman's fourth wasn't close, and the closer loudly made his displeasure apparent. O'Hearn followed with a soft check-swing that third baseman DJ LeMahieu barehanded, but too late to record an out.
