New York who is a member of the American League East comes into the game with a record of 79-64 because they lost the Subway Series finale to the New York Mets by a score of 7-6 on Sunday.

Where?

Queens New York!

In that game Giancarlo Stanton, Gleyber Torres provided the offense for the New York Yankees in the Subway Series for the New York Yankees verses the New York Mets in Queens New York.

How?

Gleyber Torres hit a two run shot off Jeurys Familia, marking the shortstop’s first homer since July 21. Torres’ long ball helped atone for a second-inning error that led to three unearned runs against rookie right-hander Clarke Schmidt.

Like Gleyber Torres Giancarlo Stanton also hit a two run home run.

The difference?

Emotions were getting high at that point!

Why?

Because Francisco Lindor who is the New York Mets shortstop accused the New York Yankees of tipping pitches the prior game According to ESPN, the Mets heard whistles coming from the visiting dugout early in Saturday’s 8-7 Yankees victory, when Mets starter Taijuan Walker surrendered three home runs in a five-run second inning. Lindor and Stanton jawed, with their teammates responding swiftly. Stanton said he didn’t like how Lindor had accused the Yanks’ Gio Urshela and Gleyber Torres.

Brett Gardner made a double thumbs-down gesture toward Lindor and Javier Báez, a reference to a Mets incident from earlier this month, while Aaron Judge -- who exited the game in the third inning with dizziness -- was spotted as part of the on-field fray.

Giancarlo Stanton had this to say about the altercation!

“If you’ve got a problem to Wandy, give it to Wandy,” Stanton said. “Don’t be talking to multiple people, bringing everybody into it. Running around the bases, that was my thought process. Obviously, I didn’t get all that out [while] running around.”

Aaron Boone had this to say about the altercation!

You guys saw Lindor when he went around the bases“G gave a little bit back, and then boys will be boys. That’s about it. ... The last couple of nights, we’ve just been loud over there. Not doing anything.”

In the end though the New York Yankees lost the finale to the New York Mets by a score of 7-6!

Why?

Clarke Schmidt who started the game for the New York Yankees was charged with five runs (two earned) and seven hits over 4 1/3 innings. Michael Conforto laced a first-inning RBI single and Lindor cracked a three-run shot in the second, coming after Torres booted Kevin Pillar’s inning-opening grounder.
