Jameson Taillon Who Is A Starting Pitcher, A Right Handed Pitcher For New York Provides An Update On How His Rehab Is Progressing After Having Surgery On Right Ankle During MLB's Lockout

Jameson Taillon who is a starting pitcher, a right handed pitcher for New York for the team that wears the pinstripes is no stranger to having surgery!

Why?

He’s had two Tommy John Surgeries!

Both of those Tommy John surgeries came when Jameson Taillon pitched for Pittsburgh in their starting rotation!

What is Tommy John Surgery?

UCL reconstruction is a surgery commonly used to repair a torn ulner collateral ligament inside the elbow by replacing it with a tendon from elsewhere in the body. The goal of the surgery is to stabilize the elbow, reduce or eliminate pain and restore stability and range of motion. This procedure was introduced and first performed by Frank Jobe, M.D., on baseball pitcher Tommy John in 1974—hence the colloquial name Tommy John surgery.

Jameson Taillon also has had had surgery for testicular cancer in 2017 when he was with Pittsburgh!

What is testicular cancer?

Cancer that develops in the testicles, a male organ that produce sex hormones and sperm for reproduction. It causes lump in testicles, swollen lymph nodes, sudden fluid collection in scrotum, and abdominal pain.

During the 2021 season Jameson Taillon who now pitches for New York, for the team that wears the pinstripes in their starting rotation had a record of 8-6 with an earn run average of 4.30.

On October 28, 2021 Jameson Taillon had surgery on his right ankle to repair a torn tendon!

The surgery was performed by by Dr. Justin Greisberg in New York. The procedure carries an estimated recovery time of five months in order to resume pitching in games, indicating that Taillon will not be ready for the beginning of Spring Training. (Last updated: Oct. 28)
