As New York, Tampa Bay are starting their three game series tonight St. Petersburg Florida, Gerrit Cole, Shane McClanahan are starting! New York, Tampa Bay are both looking to bounce back!

Because Luis Severino started instead of Gerrit Cole on Sunday in the finale against Yusei Kikuchi, Toronto in Toronto Ontario Canada because Luis Severino didn’t make his originally scheduled start on Thursday because he was put on the Covid -19 injured list. Though, he never tested positive for Covid -19 and Clarke Schmidt who usually comes out of the bullpen for New York started in his place. After the game though Luis Severino was reinstated from the covid injured list, New York designated right handed pitcher, reliever Ryan Weber for assignment.

Gerrit Cole is a right handed starting pitcher!

Shane McClanahan is a left handed starting pitcher!

Gerrit Cole comes into the game with a record of 6-1 with an earn run average of 3.33.

Though, that would be the final scoring for New York as Toronto’s closer Jordan Romano would collect the save in the top of 9th inning by pitching 1.2 innings giving up 1 hit , 0 runs, 0 earned runs, 1, walk while striking out 2 New York batters.
