As New York, Boston Played Their Finale Sunday Before 2022 MLB All-Star Break Gerrit Cole Remained Healthy In New York's 13-2 Win While Chris Sale Suffered Yet Another Setback In Boston's 2-13 Loss

Gerrit Cole has remained healthy throughout the 2022 MLB season pitching, starting every 5 days in New York’s starting rotation for Manager Aaron Boone. Chris Sale meanwhile hasn’t remained healthy pitching, starting every 5 days for Boston Manager Alex Cora throughout the 2022 MLB season.

Because up until last Tuesday against Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg Florida where Chris Sale made his 2022 MLB season debut Chris Sale was on the injured list with stress fracture in right rib cage.

As New York, Boston played their finale Sunday before 2022 MLB All-Star Break Gerrit Cole remained healthy in New York’s 13-2 win while Chris Sale suffered yet another setback in Boston’s 2-13 loss.

Aaron Hicks singled to right scoring Anthony Rizzo advancing Matt Carpenter to third base expanding New York’s lead over Boston to 8-2 before Isiah Kiner -Falefa hit sacrifice fly scoring Matt Carpenter expanding New York’s lead to 9-2 before Tim Locastro homered to left center 410 feet scoring Aaron Hicks expanding New York lead over Boston to 11-2 before Joey Gallo put the finishing touches on New York’s 11-2 win over Boston homering to right 379 feet scoring DJ Lemahieu supporting Gerrit Cole in his start where he struckout 12 Boston batters pitching 7.0 innings surrendering 2 earned runs that were scored on Jeter Downs home run to left 363 feet scoring Jackie Bradley Jr. to get Boston within 1 run of New York at 3-2 in the top of the 3rd inning.

With the 13-2 win over Boston New York improved to 64-28 on the season
