BASKETBALL

The Mentality Of Chase Jeter

When a freshman comes in to college and has more experienced players in front of him at his position chances are he won't get a lot of minutes. Some  years a player on that team can miss sometime or an  entire season. That was the case a year ago for Duke senior Amile Jefferson who broke his foot in practice and played just nine games.

Who was next in line to fill Amile Jefferson's spot in the starting lineup? It was  then freshman Chase Jeter who averaged 1 .9 points a game a year ago  . "according to goduke.com"

Amile Jeffrerson is back and healthy for the 2016-17 campaign along with highly talented  incoming freshman freshman class Jason Tatum, Marques Bolden and Harry Giles. "according to   http://www.todaysu.com/acc/duke-blue-devils/chase-jeter-faces-competition-duke-instead-transferring/

Where does that leave Chase Jeter? Will he get  minutes during the game?  Will  he play at the end of games? How about when Duke has a nail biter of a game against an opponent? Will he get any playing time at all?

If there is one player on this team you should admire it should be sophomore Chase Jeter because he wants to be apart of  this Duke team and contribute  to his team having  a successful season and perhaps hang a couple banners in the rafters of Cameron too.
