Duke Ranked #1 In The First Coaches Poll Of 2017-2018

The first coaches poll just came out so I guess you could say that the season is around the corner.

The initial poll doesn’t feature too many big surprises — the Duke Blue Devils checked in as the No. 1 team. Duke has another big freshman class coming in, led by potential No. 1 NBA draft pick Marvin Bagley III in the front court. They also return Grayson Allen at guard. The Michigan State Spartans, who are right behind the Blue Devils at No. 2, might have the preseason favorite for player of the year in sophomore wing Miles Bridges. The Arizona Wildcats are No. 5, lower than some expected, after their involvement in the FBI scandal. The Kansas Jayhawks are No. 3, and the Kentucky Wildcats are No. 4. Last year's champs, North Carolina, come in at No. 9 after losing star wing Justin Jackson to the NBA and their entire front court to graduation. Gonzaga also suffered heavy attrition to both the pro ranks and graduation. The Zags come in at No. 19, three spots ahead of conference foe St. Mary's."according to https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2017/10/19/16504090/first-coaches-poll-2017?yptr=yahoo
