Virginia Tech Downs Virginia In Double Overtime

In any rivalry, you're going to get the opponents best shot but especially in a league such as  the  Atlantic Coast Conference. 

That was the case Sunday night when Virginia Tech took Virginia to double overtime and won the game on Seth Allen's layup with three seconds left.

Virginia Tech not only snapped their two-game losing streak but improved their record to 17-7 6-6 in the ACC   while beating instate rival Virginia and defeating them at Cassell Coliseum for the second straight season after trailing by 14 points. Justin Robinson hit two free throws to give Virginia Tech a two-point lead at 78-76 in the second overtime  but Virginia's Devon Hall hit a layup with 17 seconds left and then Seth Allen hit the game -winner for Virginia Tech.    Seth Allen led Virginia Tech with 20 points while hitting 3 -three-three-pointers."according to http://www.hokiesports.com/mbasketball/recaps/20170212aaa.html

Virginia meanwhile falls to 18-6 8-4 in the ACC while London Perrantes lead Virginia but missed 15-22 attempts from the field while Kyle Guy contributed 12 points while Marial Shayock added 11 points.  This was the third crushing loss for Virginia in recent weeks as they lost to Villanova 61-59.
