Duke Tames Clemson As Luke Kennard, Jayson Tatum And Frank Jackson Contribute 20 Points

Duke rebounded from their loss in Chapel Hill in the second round of the ACC Tournament Wednesday  at the Barclays Center in New York with a 79-72 win over Clemson.

Sophomore star Luke Kennard had a slow start but eventually got it going. The slow start opened up the door for freshman Frank Jackson and Jayson Tatum as they both scored 20 points along with Luke Kennard.

Luke Kennard, the ACC's leading scorer, went 1 for 9 from the field in the first half and 8 for 11 in the second to finish with 20 points.

Duke built a 13-point lead midway through the second half but could not put away Clemson. Marcquise Reed converted a 3-point play with 2:51 left to cut Duke's lead to 69-68 and get the small contingent of Tigers fans in Barclays pumped up.

Duke advances to the quarterfinals where they will play Louisville who they lost to on the road on January 14th by a score of 78-69. Will the quarterfinal matchup in the ACC Tournament have a different outcome?
