Tyus Jones Moving On Up With Minnesota

The Duke faithful should all remember Tyus Jones who was named the most outstanding player of the final four in Indianapolis in 2015 when Duke beat Wisconsin by a score of 68-63 at Lucus Oil Stadium which is home to the National Football League AFC South member The Indianapolis Colts.

Tyus Jones  is no longer in a Duke uniform but has found a home with his hometown team the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Recently he has moved up the depth chart for Tom Thibodeau who is the head coach of Minnesota as well as the president of basketball operations.

Last year he was behind Ricky Rubio and Kris Dunn; now Rubio is with Utah and Dunn is now with Chicago. "according to https://www.dukebasketballreport.com/2017/9/15/16311158/tyus-jones-update-duke-basketball-timberwolves

Minnesota now has former Demon Deacon Jeff Teague who’s nearly 30. He’s not over the hill yet but he’s getting near the top. "according to https://www.dukebasketballreport.com/2017/9/15/16311158/tyus-jones-update-duke-basketball-timberwolves

Jones has embraced the chance to be his backup: “That’s something I want. As a competitor, you’re always trying to improve and wanting to play more. That’s just how that goes. Anybody you’d ask, they’ll tell you the same thing. I’m definitely ready to try to take advantage of that opportunity and make the most of it. I’m confident in myself and my abilities.
