R.J. Barrett Of Duke Continues To Make Strides

When Duke suffered their first loss of the season to Gonzaga in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational Championship game on November 21st and R.J. Barrett took the last five shots without making a pass what was your first thought? For me my first thought was I dislike this player. Four games after that though I have a different opinion because besides him scoring the freshman forward has made strides in other areas of the game as well.

R.J. Barrett has scored 22 points against Indiana in the ACC/ Big Ten Challenge on November 27th. “according to http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4200&ATCLID=211782011 Against Stetson on December 1st R.J. Barrett scored 26 points had seven rebounds and a season-high seven assists On Wednesday December 5th against Hartford he scored 27 points to go along with 15 rebounds. “according to http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4200&ATCLID=211783058 and before the exam break R.J. Barrett contributed 30 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assistants against Yale.”according to http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4200&ATCLID=211783264

How will R.J. Barrett perform in his next game and beyond ? One thing I know for sure is that the freshman forward from Mississauga Ontario Canada will only continue to improve throughout the regular season and postseason and that Duke fans in the United States as well as Canada including myself should be happy that R.J. Barrett is a member of the Duke Basketball team no matter how short lived his time might be at the collegiate level. Lets enjoy the ride while he’s in a Duke uniform playing for one of the greatest coaches to ever teach the game in head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
