NC State Tops Auburn

After defeating Penn State in New Jersey on Saturday NC State returned home and defeated Auburn.

The NC State men's basketball team battled to its 12th ranked win over a top-10 team in PNC Arena Wednesday night, defeating the No. 7 Auburn Tigers, 78-71. The Wolfpack improves to 10-1 for the first time since the 2005-2006 season.

The last time they were 10-1 Herb Sendek who currently is the head coach at Santa Clara was the NC State head coach.

Markell Johnson led the Wolfpack in a career-high night with 27 points. Braxton Beverly and Markell Johnson started the night off hot for the Pack, combining for the team's first 13 points of the game, with 8 points and 5 points respectively.
