The Similarities, Differences Between Buddy Boeheim Of Syracuse And Michael Savarino Of Duke
With a lot of college athletes hitting the books this week including finishing papers and taking finals there are not many games going on so I thought I’d write an article about two different players who go to two different colleges in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Who am I talking about?
I am talking about Buddy Boeheim of Syracuse and Michael Sevarino of Duke. As you’re reading this you’re probably asking why am I talking about them?
Well, Buddy Boeheim and Michael Severino both play for their relatives at their respective colleges as Buddy Boeheim plays for his father Jim Boeheim who was a guard at Syracuse from 1963 -1966. In his tenure as a player at Syracuse Jim Boeheim averaged 9.8 points per game. “according to https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/jim-boeheim-1.html while Michael Severino plays for his grandfather Mike Krzyzewski who became the head coach at Duke in 1980 and who he refers to as coach.
Buddy Boeheim and Michael Severino are both guards but they have different roles on their teams. What are those roles? Buddy Boeheim is a starter for Syracuse.
In Buddy Boeheim’s recent game against Georgia Tech he scored 20 of his personal-best 26 points in the second half. “according to https://cuse.com/news/2019/12/7/mens-basketball-hughes-boeheim-lead-cuse-past-tech.aspx
While Michael Severino makes his contributions in practice making his teammates better and giving them encouragement throughout games when he’s sitting on the sideline as he is a walk-on at Duke.
