NC State Welcomes Wake Forest To Raleigh

After rebounding from their recent loss earlier in the week with a win in overtime over Boston College NC State will host Wake Forest on Sunday.

NC State comes into the game with a record of 19-8 while they’re 7-7 in the Atlantic Coast Conference while Wake Forest comes into the game with a record of 10-15 while they’re 3-10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

As for NC State’s previous game they topped Boston College earlier in the week.

Wake Forest earned its first road win of the season, topping Notre Dame 75-68 on Tuesday night. Brandon Childress paced the Deacons with 20 points, a season-high eight assists and seven boards. Wake Forest (10-15, 3-10 ACC) got off the a strong start, forcing a turnover on the opening possession. Sarr hit a jumper to open the scoring, the first time in eight games that the Deacs scored first. Childress and Sarr remained hot pushing Wake's lead to 15-10. After missing the opening shot, the Deacs went 7-for-7 from the floor. Notre Dame (13-13, 3-10 ACC) took its first lead of the game following a 7-0 run, but Torry Johnson tied the contest at 22- all with a triple at the 11:22 mark. The Irish took advantage of a nearly three minute scoring drought for Wake Forest, taking a 36-29 lead with 3:37 remaining in the first half. Brown hit a long two to cut the deficit to three with just over a minute on the clock and was fouled on the other end of the court with just one second remaining in the frame. A jumper from Sarr out of the break gave Wake a one-point lead. Both teams traded baskets throughout the frame and, but Sharone Wright, Jr. got hot with a three to knot the game at 48, with 13:23 to play. Wright, Jr. continued the charge as he threw down a fast break dunk and Childress connected on another three, his fifth of the game, giving Wake Forest a 64-57 lead.
