North Carolina's Losing Streak Extends To Five With Double Overtime Loss In Blacksburg To Virginia Tech
North Carolina has been doing a lot of losing and not much winning lately and in their most recent game their losing streak was extended to five games with a double overtime loss in Blacksburg to Virginia Tech.
Garrison Brooks scored 28 points and Justin Pierce had 15 for the short-handed Tar Heels (8-10, 1-6), who lost their sixth consecutive conference game for the first time in program history. In the second overtime, Nolley gave the Hokies a 77-73 lead with a layup with 23 seconds remaining. North Carolina will now return to Chapel Hill to host Miami who earlier in the week was playing eight miles down the road in Durham at North Carolina’s tobacco road rival Duke where they suffered a 89-69 loss.
