Will Tre Jones Return For His Junior Season At Duke?

Tre Jones came to Duke wanting to accomplish these things.

The point guard wanted to win an Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title , An Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament title but the biggest thing he wanted to accomplish but hasn’t yet is win a national title.

Tre Jones accomplished one of them during his freshman season at Duke by winning an Atlantic Coast Coast Conference Tournament title but the other two have yet to have been accomplished as Duke was knocked off in the Elite Eight by Michigan State by a score of 68-67 during the 2018-20 season in Washington DC.  Cassius Winston put Michigan State on his shoulders and carried the Spartans into the Final Four.

The do-everything point guard took over the game when his team faced its biggest deficit and led second-seeded Michigan State to a 68-67 victory over overall No. 1 seed Duke “according to https://goduke.com/news/2019/3/31/211797994.aspx

Then during his sophomore season Duke didn’t win the regular season title. Instead they finished fourth in the standings and the postseason didn’t happen because of the Corona Virus outbreak.

Because of that I ask this? Will Tre Jones return to Duke for his junior season?

Only time will tell if he decides to enter the NBA Draft or return to Duke but I believe Tre Jones still has some unfinished business in Durham that he wants to attend to before moving on to the next level and maybe he does too! Even it means that Jeremy Roach who will be a freshman next season at Duke has to sit behind Tre Jones and Jordan Goldwire who backed up Tre Jones this season or other options could be Duke could red shirt Jeremy Roach or he could decide to go to a different school on his list. Those include Duke’s rival North Carolina , Maryland who used to be a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference before leaving for the Big Ten , Virginia who like Duke and North Carolina is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference and Villanova who is a member of the Big East. “according to http://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/230215/jeremy-roach
