Starting with the former players who are currently on the sidelines as members of Mike Krzyzewski’s coaching staff.

Those include Chris Carrawell who is an assistant coach , Nate James and Jon Scheyer who are associate head coaches along with Nolan Smith who is the Director Of Basketball Operations.

Chris Carrawell’s Duke career was from 1996- 2000. During his playing career for Duke Men’s Basketball Duke won a pair of ACC Tournament titles and reached the 1999 Final Four by tying a school record for wins (37-2).

Nate James playing career was from 1997-2001. Collins averaged 9.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists as a collegian. Now Steve Wojciechowski is the head coach at Marquette where in 2019-20 he finished his sixth season as the head coach. Although he hasn’t always been a head coach as before moving to Marquette he was on Mike Krzyzewski’s coaching staff at his al mater . There he is second year as an assistant at Duke, Wojciechowski and the Blue Devils won the national championship. The team also captured the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and tournament crowns and posted a 35-4 record.

Wojciechowski saw one of his former teammates and pupils, Shane Battier, earn the consensus National Player of the Year award in 2001 as well as National Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season.

Wojciechowski achieved repeated success at the highest level with an NCAA title in the 2009-10 season as associate head coach. On the road to the championship, the Blue Devils also won the ACC Tournament, the ACC Regular Season and NIT Season Tip-Off titles. After his one season in Los Angeles Quinn Snyder was an assistant coach for Philadelphia in 2010-2011. Elton Brand started his player career in Chicago for two seasons from 1999-2001 before headed to Los Angeles where he suited up for the Los Angeles Clippers for seven seasons. From there he went to Philadelphia where he played four seasons before heading to Dallas for one season.
