NC State And Wake Forest Look To Finish The Regular Season On High Note In Raleigh

Earlier this week NC State suffered a loss in Durham to Duke and Wake Forest suffered a loss to North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

On Friday night the two Atlantic Coast Conference opponents will look to finish the regular season on a high note when NC State host Wake Forest for the rematch on their senior night in North Carolina’s state capital.

NC State comes into the regular season finale with a record of 18-12 while they’re 9-10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and seventh in the standings while Wake Forest comes into the game with a record of 13-16 while they’re 6-13 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and thirteenth in the standings. “according to https://theacc.com/standings.aspx?standings=40

As for the first meeting of the season between NC State and Wake Forest,

NC State topped Wake Forest in Winston Salem eighty-nine days ago.

The Pack had a balanced scoring attack with five players reaching double figures. C.J. Bryce, Devon Daniels and Jericole Hellems all led NC State with 14 points. Markell Johnson and D.J. Brandon Childress had 24 points to lead the Deacons, his sixth 20-point game of the season, while also having nine assists.  Isaiah Mucius had 13 points and Olivier Sarr had 12 points and 11 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. North Carolina used an early 12-0 run to take a 12-2 lead after the first four minutes. The Deacs answered with a 7-0 run to cut the lead to three before a second 7-0 run tied the game at 17-17 midway through the half. The Tar Heels held the lead the rest of the first half and took a one-point lead at 35-34 into halftime. UNC pushed the lead to eight, 60-52 with 11:10 to play before the Deacs closed to within two at 65-63 with 8:45 to go.
