Is Devon Daniels Going To Be Returning To NC State For A Fifth Season In 2021-2022?

Devon Daniels isn’t going to be playing on the hardwood for the remainder of the season for the team located in North Carolina’s state capital!

Why?

Because the NC State guard tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee! “according to an article on gopack.com”

When?

On Wednesday night in NC State’s first matchup of the season with Wake Forest!

Where?

North Carolina’s state capital!

What does that mean for the team located in North Carolina’s capital for the rest of the season?

It means that NC State is going to be without their leading scorer Devon Daniels who before the injury was leading the team n points (16.5), assists (3.1) and steals (1.7) and is third on the team in rebounding (5.1). His field goal percentage of 48.1 percent ranks ninth in the ACC and he is also tied for the team-lead with 19 three-pointers on the season. “according to an article on gopack.com”

NC State Head Coach Kevin Keatts had this to say about Devon Daniels season ending injury recently!

"I'm gutted and heartbroken for Devon," NC State head coach Kevin Keatts said. "Devon joined our program shortly after I was named head coach and I quickly appreciated the tenacity and relentlessness he brought into the gym every day. Devon built himself into one of the premier players in the ACC and with that tireless work ethic, I have no doubt that he will attack his rehab and come back even stronger. I hope all NC State fans will join me in praying for Devon and a swift recovery." “according to an article on gopack.com”
With Devon Daniels out for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season with an ACL injury will the guard return to North Carolina’s state capital for another season in 2021-2022?

Right now I don’t know the answer to that question but what I do is that seniors who are playing on the hardwood this winter are receiving an extra year of eligibility.

Why?

Because of the coronavirus pandemic! “according to an article by Dan Murphy on espn.com”

And if I was in Devon Daniels shoes I wouldn’t want to end my collegiate career in North Carolina’s capital by not playing a full season because I tore my ACL! I would want to come back for a fifth season and give it all I have for one last season on the hardwood playing for Head Coach Kevin Keatts and the team located in North Carolina’s state capital and I hope Devon Daniels does too in 2021-2022!
