Were Paolo Banchero, Michael Savarino going to be available when Duke host Gardner -Webb on Tuesday night?

There status was uncertain for the game!

Paolo Banchero was the passenger in the back seat!

Michael Savarino who is a junior as well Duke Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s grandson was also involved!

How?

He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Alcohol)

The arrest happened on Sunday in Orange County!

The arrest was made by The N.C. Highway Patrol!

Paolo Banchero was released on site!

As freshman at Duke in 2019-2020,

Michael Savarino didn’t see the hardwood during games!

As a sophomore in 2021 -2022 that changed!

Why?

Michael Savarino made his career debut at North Carolina (3/6) and logged one minute of action

We are reviewing a legal matter involving two members of the Duke Men’s Basketball team. Any further actions as a result of this situation will ulntimately be determined.

Paolo Banchero has a court date for Tuesday December 8, 2021 while his teammate Michael Savarino has a court date set for Wednesday December 9, 2021!

Their availability for the Duke, Gardner - Webb game is uncertain!
