After Having Surgery To Remove Melanoma, Being Diagnosed With Lymphoma, Undergoing Treatment For Lymphoma Dick Vitale Returned To Commentating As He Commentated Gonzaga, UCLA Game In Las Vegas Tuesday

Dick Vitale’s broadcasting career at ESPN started in 1979!

In August Dick Vitale who is better known as Dickie V in the College Basketball world announced he had undergone surgery to remove melanoma that was totally cleared though after that form of cancer cleared Dick Vitale still wasn’t out of the woods because they found another form of cancer he would later be diagnosed with Lymphoma which he would undergo treatment for.

While undergoing treatment he was away from the sidelines, away from commentating, away from doing what he loved , commentating the sport he loves!

We didn’t hear the words diaper dandy, this is awesome, baby which Dick Vitale is famous for!

On Tuesday night Dick Vitale returned to commentating as he commentated top ranked Gonzaga 2nd, ranked UCLA in Las Vegas Nevada in the Good Sam Empire Classic.

In his return to broadcasting for ESPN The World Wide Leader in Sports Dick Vitale got emotional! But would you expect anything less? Dick Vitale is back doing what he loves after fighting two bouts of two different types of cancer.
