Is Duke Or Wake Forest Going To Win The Rematch In Winston Salem?

Is Duke or Wake Forest going to win the rematch in Winston Salem North Carolina?

Right now I don’t know the answer to that question!

What I do know is that On January 9, 2021 Duke and Wake Forest matched up for the first time this season!

Where?

On the hardwood in Durham North Carolina!

In that game Duke won by a score of 79-68!

Why?

Matthew Hurt scored a career-high 26 points while DJ Steward scored 21 points for then twenty first ranked Duke

Tonight they’re matching up again!

This time, as two unranked Atlantic Coast Conference opponents on the hardwood in Winston Salem where Duke is going to be looking to sweep Wake Forest in the regular season while Wake Forest is going to be looking to split the regular season matchups.

Duke comes into the game with a record of 8-8 while they’re 6-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and eighth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings. “according to the acc.com/ standings

Why?

Because they not only snapped their three game Atlantic Coast Conference losing streak in North Carolina’s capital on Saturday with a 69-53 win!

How?

Matthew Hurt scored 24 points and Duke took over with a 22-3 first-half run to beat North Carolina State 69-53 on Saturday at PNC Arena.

Freshman Mark Williams added season highs of 13 points and five blocks for the Blue Devils (8-8, 6-6 ACC), who had lost three straight and six of eight. Duke led the entire way after the opening minute in a venue where the Blue Devils had lost four of five, including a burst of 14 unanswered during its big run. “according to an article on goduke.com”

While Wake Forest comes into the game with a record of 6-9 while they’re 3-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and thirteenth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings. “according to theacc.com/ standings

Why?

Because unlike Duke Wake Forest lost their previous game!

Where?

Tallahassee Florida where they lost to Florida State by a score of 92-85!

Why?

Ian Dubose DuBose split a trip to the free throw line that gave the Deacs a two-point lead (80-78) with 5 seconds left. The Seminoles stormed down the court and made a layup in the final seconds to force overtime with the score tied at 80.

  • Wake Forest went on to fall to Florida State 92-85 in overtime.
