As Duke Makes Up Their Game At Clemson Tonight That Was Postponed Because Of Their Covid -19 Issues Are They Going To Be Hungry To Get A Win?

After Duke’s 69-68 loss to Virginia in Durham on Monday Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski had this to say!

What my guys don’t understand,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said, “is that these teams are fighting for NCAA bids. “Virginia has such a rich tradition. They’re an outstanding program. And they play really well, but teams are hungry and we’ve got to be hungry after we’ve eaten. We had a big meal, but we have to be hungry again, and I thought they were hungrier than we were.”

As Duke makes up their game at Clemson tonight that was postponed because their covid 19 issues earlier this question comes to mind! Are they going to be hungry to get a win?

Right now I don’t the answer to that question!

What I do know is this!

Duke comes into the game with a record of 19-4 9-3 and second place in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings because they as stated above they lost to Virginia 69-68 on Monday in Durham.

Why?

Duke who is ranked 7th in the AP Top 25 poll this week squandered a 12 point lead then Virginia found Reece Beekman in the corner who hit a three pointer to give Virginia who unlike Duke isn’t ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll this week the 69-68 win with 1.1 seconds left in regulation.

and Notre Dame beat Louisville 63-57 on Wednesday that put them in first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference!

Unlike Duke ,

Clemson isn’t ranked in the AP Top 25 poll this week though like Duke Clemson lost their previous game on Tuesday to North Carolina 77-79 in Clemson South Carolina.

Why?

Clemson trailed by as many as five points. Then Clemson took four different one-point leads but couldn’t hold on the Tar Heels’ last offensive possession. Following a Brady Manek put-back layup, the Tigers had a shot at the victory, but a Collins 3-pointer fell short.
