Trevor Keels Isn't Going To Be Returning To Duke For His Sophomore Season In 2022-2023 Because He Is Remaining In The 2022 NBA Draft

As a freshman at Duke in 2021-2022,

    Though, Trevor Keels got injured on January 19, 2022 when he injured his revor Keels injured his calf of his right leg.

    With 10:11 to go in regulation Trevor Keels right leg twisted awkwardly in a pileup of players after he fouled Jalen Warley who like Trevor Keels is a guard and wears number 1 just like Trevor Keels. Trevor Keels was helped off the hardwood by Mike Krzyzewski , trainer Jose Fonseca before being taken back to the Duke locker room and did not return to the game.

    Then Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski who was honored by Florida State, their Head Coach Leonard Hamilton before the game tipped off with a pregame ceremony with Mike Krzyzewski, Leonard Hamilton shaking hands that included a standing ovation from the sold crowd in Tallahassee announcing donation to the Emily K Center because Tuesday night was Mike Krzyzewski’s final trip to Tallahassee because he is retiring after the season is over had this to say about Trevor Keels injury. It’s not a knee it’s a calf injury but we don’t know the extent of it.

    Then Trevor Keels teammate Wendell Moore Jr. who entered his name, declared for the 2022 NBA Draft had this to say about his injury!

    He’s one of our main ball handlers . He’s one of our best on ball defenders so he brings a lot to us. Not having him , everybody has to step up. I think some of the guys did a pretty good job tonight in his absence.

    On April 25, 2022 Trevor Keels declared, entered his name into the 2022 NBA Draft without hiring an agent!

    Trevor Keels has the option of returning Duke for his sophomore season prior to the June 1, 2022 deadline at 11:59pm of taking his name out of the 2022 NBA Draft because he did not hire an agent he is remaining in the 2022 NBA Draft.

    Trevor Keels is projected as ESPN’s number 26 pick e 2022 draft. He is one of the youngest players currently projected to be picked at just 18 years old.
