When you fans, spectators think about Duke rarely does the word senior come to mind because a player or players leave early enter their names in the NBA Draft.

When you think of the 2023-2024 Duke team the name Jeremy Roach come to mind because he is a senior and has been playing for Duke for four seasons. Jeremy Roach started out being coached by former Duke Head Coach now retired Duke Mike Krzyzewski who retired following 2021 -2022 season. For the last two seasons Jeremy Roach has been playing for former Duke player former Duke Special Assistant, Assistant Coach current Head Coach in Jon Scheyer. In 2022-2023 season Jeremy Roach was Honorable Mention All-ACC selection

• Named first-team All-ACC Tournament

• Selected as the team’s Most Valuable Player Award, along with Kyle Filipowski

  Jeremy Roach’s final regular season game on his senior night on March 9, 2024 in Durham ended with 84-79 loss to rival North Carolina where he was 3-12 on field goals, 2-4 on 3 pointers to go along with 3 assists, 2 turnovers 13 points. One of the turnovers came at a critical time in the game when Duke got down to 1 point and could’ve taken the lead.

  Following Duke’s 87-79 loss took responsibility and said this loss was on him by saying We came out flat, came out settling,”“I took a step-back (shot) the first play of the game and that was kind of a snowball effect for the whole thing. We kind of settled and they got out in transition, getting open buckets, easy baskets and the rest is history.”

  Every season Duke’s goal is the same and that is to win championships! To do that Duke needs senior guard Jeremy Roach to perform at his best not only in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament though the NCAA Tournament as well because the way Jeremy Roach goes is the way Duke goes because he is their captain their leader . If Jeremy Roach is playing well Duke is likely to be successful and win games and win championships cut down nets come March, April if they advance to the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Championship to the 2024 Final Four that is going to be played in Glendale Arizona at State Farm Stadium Saturday April 6, Monday April 8, 2024 that is home to NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. If Jeremy Roach isn’t performing at his best then those goals won’t get accomplished.
