It’s been sometime since College Basketball fans have heard those words from Dickie Vitale because he has been battling cancer.

In 2021 Dick Vitale was diagnosed with Melanoma and had four surgeries on his face, nose. In October 2021 Dick Vitale was diagnosed with Lymphoma and underwent 6 months of chemotherapy . In June 2023 Dick Vitale was diagnosed with Lymph node cancer and underwent radiation therapy for cancerous lymph node in his neck and underwent radiation thereapy for cancerous lymphnode in his neck.

I am absolutely ecstatic and I can’t believe this is happening after going through five major vocal cord surgeries, 65 radiation treatments and chemotherapy for six months,”. “It’s been a very tough journey, but all of the prayers and messages from the beautiful fans have inspired me.
