Following playing for Syracuse for two seasons Maliq Brown transferred to Duke for his junior season in 2024-2025 season where he averaged 2.5 points , 3.7 rebounds , 1.5 assists shooting 65 % on field goals sustained two shoulder injuries. His first came on February 17, 2025 when Duke was playing Virginia in Charlottesville the second one came in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament against Georgia Tech. He was a game time decision sweet 16 against Arizona as well as the Final Four.
