The Anticipation Is Rising

We are two months away from kicking off the 2016 college football season. What gets you excited when the season is around the corner? Is it that there  is finally something going on that us as sports fans care about? Is it the tailgating before games ? Is it seeing your favorite team run out of the tunnel on to the field as the fireworks  are going off at the start of  each game ? Is it watching your team play against their rival?

Alabama  - Louisiana State University  They first met in 1895 and are two very successful programs.

Oregon - Oregon State  The first meeting  between the two was in 1894 and the Oregon Ducks lead the series 62-46-10

Ole Miss - Mississippi State - The teams first met in 1901 and Ole Miss leads the series 62-43-46.

Arizona -Arizona State Five meetings in 1899 and Arizona leads the series 48-39-1.

Brigham Young University - Utah 

First meeting was 1896 the Utah Utes lead the series 57-34-4 and the series will be renewed on September 10th 2016 at 5:30pm at Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City Utah ."According to http://www.utahutes.com/index.aspx?path=football"

Army -Navy - Their first meeting was in 1890 and Navy leads the series 59-49-7 and has won the last thirteen meetings between the two teams. 

Oklahoma -Texas

They first met in 1900 and Texas leads the series 60-44 They play the historic cotten bowl their between these two schools . In the middle of the Texas State fair How cool is that? 

Notre Dame - The University Of Southern California 

The teams first meeting was in 1900 and the Fighting Irish lead the series 45-36-5 They play this game the Saturday after Thanksgiving or the third Saturday in October. 

Michigan - Ohio Sate

The teams first meeting was back in 1897 and the Wolverines lead the series 58-46-6 . 

Alabama - Auburn

The teams first meeting was in 1893 and Alabama leads the series 43-35-1 . Did you know  that it's the most heated rivalry in college football ? These two every year have a chance to play for the national title.
