Duke Dominates Temple In The Walk- On's Independence Bowl

In 2015 under head coach David Cutcliffe Duke won their first bowl game since 1961. A 44-41 win in overtime over Indiana in the Pinstripe Bowl that was played in Yankee Stadium that is home to the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball and finished the season with a record of 8-5. In 2017 after not making a bowl they went to the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit Michigan at Ford Field which is home to the Detroit Lions of the National Football League and defeated Northern Illinois by a score of 36-14 to finish the season with a record of 7-6 . This season was no different as Duke went to Shreveport Louisiana and participated in the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl and beat Temple 56-27 to finish the season with a record of 8-5.
