The Orange defense forced first-quarter turnovers on back-to-back Boston College possessions and both led to points. Grosel completed a pass to Hunter Long, but Syracuse safety Andre Cisco pulled the ball loose and safety Evan Foster recovered. Foster returned the ball to the Boston College 20-yard line.
