Trevon McSwain Is Getting An Opportunity To Play In The NFL Despite Not Getting Drafted

Trevon McSwain who played at Duke under head coach David Cutcliffe didn’t get drafted in this years NFL Draft.

However, he is getting an opportunity.

In 49 career games (18 starts) as a Blue Devil, McSwain had 102 tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, five caused fumbles, and 12 QB pressures. He played 1,874 career snaps and finished with 18 games with three-plus tackles, including a career-high six stops against Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech in 2018. McSwain owned five contests with five-plus tackles while also recording a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss versus Virginia Tech in 2018. He tallied a career-best two forced fumbles in a victory over Miami in 2019 as well. ., McSwain played in all 12 games with nine starts during his final campaign. He totaled 34 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, and six QB pressures during the year. McSwain logged three-plus tackles in seven games, including a season-high five stops on three different occasions. He added four sacks on the year coming against North Carolina A&T, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Miami, while posting a season-best two forced fumbles in Duke's season finale win against Miami. In 2018, McSwain saw action in all 13 games earning nine starts. He logged 43 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one caused fumble, and four QB pressures. McSwain posted five-plus tackles in three games, including a season-high six stops against Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech in consecutive weeks. He booked a season-high 2.0 tackles for loss versus Virginia Tech and added other tackles for loss with a sack at Baylor. As a redshirt freshman, McSwain saw action in 11 games, missing just the Army West Point tilt. He compiled two tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and one QB pressure on the year.
