The 2020 Season Will Be Different Because There Won't Be A Manning Playing Quarterback In The NFL

At this point we don’t know if there will be an NFL season. Why? Because of the Corona Virus that is effecting us in the United States and around the world.

What we do know though is that a Manning won’t be a starting quarterback in the league if and when the season begins. Why? Because the youngest Manning Eli Manning joined his father Archie Manning and older Peyton Manning in retirement after the 2019 season.

During Eli Manning’s professional career in the NFL he threw for 57,023 yards, 366 Touchdowns and had 244 interceptions. “according to https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/5526/eli-manning and led the New York Giants to two super bowl wins over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Now that Eli Manning has hung up his cleats, helmet , protective pads and jersey who will take over at quarterback for the New York Giants?

Well, that would be the sixth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft . Daniel Jones who like Eli Manning was coached by David Cutcliffe in college.

During his rookie season Daniel Jones threw for 3,027 yards , had 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. “according to https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3917792/daniel-jones

The media recently caught up with the former New York Giants quarterback and he had this to say about Daniel Jones going into year two with the New York Giants.

II think it will be easier this year for him to kinda step up as that leader. Last year was probably awkward for him, me being there, me being in meeting rooms and just kinda the whole dynamic. Me being gone and hey, he is the quarterback, he is the guy, for him to have that control and the authority over receivers and offensive line. “according to an article in the USA Today by Nick Schwartz

I think he’s proven to be tough and works hard, he’s done all the right things, he has gone in with that approach of keeping his head down and not saying more than he has to, working hard and earning the respect from the teammates. Now he can elevate that where now he’s in charge. The questions are coming to him from the coordinator, he’s gonna have to give his voice and his opinion on things.”“according to an article in the USA Today by Nick Schwartz
