NC State Will Kick-Off The 2020 Season On The Road At Louisville On Wednesday September 2nd

The team located in North Carolina’s state capital was supposed to open up the season on September 3rd in the Bluegrass State against Louisville.

However, there has been a change of plans.

Instead, the team located in North Carolina’s capital will kick-off the 2020 season on Wednesday September 2nd at Louisville.

Why?

Because of the nationwide pandemic, the 146th Kentucky Derby Weekend, originally set for April 30 through May 2 in Louisville, was pushed back to Sept. 3-5 and coincided with Louisville's home opener. Due to the logistical efforts associated with the Kentucky Derby and a Louisville home football game, both schools mutually agreed to move the game up one day to avoid any conflicts for traffic and logistics. Cardinal Stadium and Churchill Downs are neighbors, with the facilities located in close proximity to one another and many attendees park at the football stadium.https://gopack.com/news/2020/6/22/football-nc-state-at-louisville-moved-to-wednesday-september-2.aspx
