Duke Releases Their Schedule For The Upcoming Season

At this point I don’t know if there will be a collegiate season on the grid iron in 2020.

Why?

Because of the Coronavirus that is currently effecting us in the United States and around the world. What we do is what Duke’s schedule will look like if there is a season.

The Atlantic Coast Conference Schedule includes 10 league games and one non-conference contest for each school. The 11 games will be played over at least 13 weeks with each team having two open dates. The Blue Devils will open on the road at Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 12. Duke is then home for back-to-back contests against Boston College (Saturday, Sept. 19) and, following an open date, Virginia Tech (Saturday, Oct. 3). For their next two games, the Blue Devils are back on the road at Syracuse (Saturday, Oct.10) and N.C. State (Saturday, Oct. 17). November kicks off with a home contest against North Carolina on the 7th before the Blue Devils head to Charlottesville, Va., a week later to face Virginia. The ACC's Medical Advisory Group, which has been meeting weekly since the spring to share information on the impact of COVID-19 on ACC campuses and intercollegiate athletics, has recommended minimum standards for each campus to follow as fall sports return. Among those recommendations are weekly testing for close contact sports, standards for reporting positive test results, and protocols for cleaning and sanitizing competition areas.
